🚙 Check the car
Once at your car, check it for any damage, both exterior and interior. If you find any damage, ask the car rental agent to mark it on your rental agreement. Take photos or a short video to have evidence of any damage to be sure of the condition later on.
⛽ Check the fuel type
Open the cap on the fuel tank to check whether the car uses petrol or diesel. If you are unsure, check the key or ask the rental agent for information before you leave the rental location.
🔋 Check the dashboard
Rental cars often come with a full tank of fuel, but sometimes they can be supplied with less fuel. Turn the key to check the level of the tank and if any fuel is missing, get the rental agent to mark this on the rental agreement.
Also, make sure to check the lights on the car are working and that no warning lights are on.
👀 Look Out
Check for petrol stations on your way to have less stress when you drop off the car. Note down the Breakdown Assistance number of the rental supplier, just in case you need it later. Better to have it on hand and not to worry!
