Travel plans can change, and we understand the need for flexibility with your car rental bookings. Here’s a detailed guide on how to manage your bookings effectively:
Modifications up to 48 Hours Before Pick-Up
When you have more than 48 hours before your scheduled pick-up, you can make several changes directly on the Manage Booking section. All you need to do is:
- Log in to your account
- Navigate to the My Booking page
- Select the relevant options on " Modify booking" to update your itinerary.
You have the following options with modifications:
⏲️ Changing Pick-Up and Drop-Off Dates and Locations
You can adjust your pick-up and drop-off dates and locations if your travel dates or destinations have changed.
🚙️ Changing the Car/Vehicle
Need a different vehicle? Whether you require a larger car for more passengers or a smaller one for city driving or want to change the transmission type, you can easily change your selected vehicle. Browse our options and choose the one that best suits your new requirements.
💺️Adding Extras
Enhance your rental experience by adding extra GPS, child seats, or additional drivers. You can also add them at the pick-up. Note that extras are subject to availability.
✖️Removing Extras
If you no longer need certain extras, you can remove them just as quickly. This flexibility helps you tailor your booking to your current needs without hassle.
✈️ Adding Flight Number
Adding or updating your flight number ensures that the supplier knows your arrival time, which can be particularly useful in case of flight delays.
🔁️ Changing the Main Driver
Plans can change, and you might need to designate a different main driver for your rental. Update the driver information on the My Booking page to ensure a seamless handover process at pick-up. When listing a new driver, you should also make sure that the latest driver has all the required documents under their name, such as a valid credit card, driver's license, and passport/ID, which are physically present at the pick-up.
Modifications Less Than 48 Hours to Pick-Up
Usually, most suppliers do not accept modifications less than 48 hours before the scheduled pick-up time as it can be challenging to arrange their fleet and staff on short notice.
However, we provide an option for our customers to modify their bookings on the My Booking page Modify booking section up to 1 hour before the scheduled pick-up time. Note that this option is available only for bookings with the Partial Prepayment.
Here is what to do if you can't modify your booking online in less than 48 hours to pick-up:
As noted earlier, suppliers may find it inconvenient to accommodate last-minute changes, particularly if you plan significant alterations to your reservation. However, they are usually more flexible with minor adjustments in pick-up times.
For example, when your flight is delayed, and you are running late to pick up the car, it is always recommended to check the Business Hours on the Rental Conditions section of your Voucher to learn about the operating hours of your supplier and the grace period. If you arrive later than your grace period, contact the rental company directly. Their contact information is provided on the first page of your Voucher and on the pick-up instructions section of My Booking page. When contacting them, have your flight number ready so they can track your arrival time conveniently.
Please note that we can't always guarantee the confirmation of your modification request (check T&C paragraphs 61-65), and changes may affect the total cost, as rental companies may adjust pricing based on the current date at the time of the modification.
